Job Description & How to Apply Below
A fantastic opportunity for a Senior / Designer of generic and licensed Ceramics. The company supplies a wide range of products and is looking to recruit someone who will work as part of an established and growing team. Reporting to the Creative and PD Director, the role is responsible for creating designs that are visually outstanding and push the boundaries of creativity within the constraints laid down by licensor style guides, customers and production restrictions.
Awareness of different market and retailer tastes and the application to design and development will be a key element of this role.
- Produce visually appealing designs across the full range of products.
- Liaise with licensors to create ranges using appropriate style guides and help gain approval for the artwork they produce.
- Understand the textile design industry to “design for manufacture”, ensuring that all designs (graphics and rotaries) are achievable and commercially viable.
- Ensure that the requirements of key stakeholders – licensors, customers and internal sales teams – are met.
- Create mood boards to showcase upcoming trends, key themes and design direction.
- Work with the Senior Designer and Director to meet key critical‑path dates on time for each range launch.
- Create product renders and lifestyle imagery where required.
- Visualise products in 3‑D and understand the scale and size of items.
- Collaborate with the design team on seasonal core ranges and across UK and EMEA development.
- Support pitch development where relevant.
- Artwork for factory production.
- Other duties as required.
- Must have experience working with ceramics.
- Licensed product experience is a bonus.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- Ability to present design work at various stages to internal and external stakeholders for review and final approval.
- Organization and problem‑solving skills with ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
- Ensure all work consistently meets established brand standards and guidelines.
- Work quickly and efficiently with excellent communication skills.
- Be professional, with a positive can‑do attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to observe and learn.
