Due to our continued success, we are expanding our Customer Services team and looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join us as a trainee Customer Care Advisor based from our Leicester Office. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the house building industry. You will be fully supported and trained to handle enquiries, coordinate remedial works, and ensure our social housing partners receive an outstanding post-completion experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for housing associations, councils, and other registered providers, handling inbound calls, emails, and online queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Log, track, and manage defect and maintenance reports accurately on Alpha
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to arrange remedial appointments and ensure works are completed to schedule
  • Keep housing partners informed throughout the resolution process, providing clear and regular updates
  • Support the team in managing end‑of‑defect‑liability period inspections and sign‑offs
  • Carry out general administrative tasks to support the wider Customer Care department
About You:
  • Genuinely passionate about delivering excellent customer service
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and empathetic telephone manner
  • Well‑organised with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • A team player who is also capable of working independently
  • Resilient under pressure and able to remain calm when dealing with frustrated or demanding contacts
  • A desire to learn about the house building industry and develop a long‑term career within it
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing, admin, or complaints‑handling role
  • Some knowledge of residential construction or property
  • Familiarity with the social housing sector or registered providers
