The Repairs and Maintenance team are responsible for maintaining Oadby & Wigston Borough Council housing stock.
The Customer Service Officer will undertake responsibilities including, monitoring the progress of housing repairs from initial report through to completion, ensuring works are progressed efficiently and contractors are paid following successful delivery. The role will act as a key point of contact for customers, handling general housing and repairs enquiries via telephone and email, providing updates and resolving issues wherever possible.
The postholder will build and maintain effective contractor relationships, liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure service standards are met, and keep all customer and repair records accurate and up to date within the Council 's CRM and housing management systems.
