Substantive Consultant in Orthodontics

Applications are invited for a part‑time position in our orthodontic team, with a full‑time opportunity available on discussion  successful candidate will join an existing team comprising two consultant orthodontists, an orthodontic therapist, two restorative consultants and five maxillofacial consultants.

Applicants must already be on the GDC specialist register or be eligible for completion of Post‑CCST within six months of interview.

• Clinical sessions as laid out in the job plan
• Supervise and train junior medical staff and dental staff
• Teaching, research, audit and administration
• Participate in cleft, restorative and orthognathic and oral surgery MDTs
• Maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of patients
• Share with colleagues responsibility for day‑to‑day management of patients
• Promote new ways of working and coordinate care for patients in the community and ensure services are based on effective and integrated partnerships across the health community
• Proactively develop the service
• Actively participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit
