NHS UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL – NHS FIXED TERM LOCUM CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN VACANCY – MIDLANDS
We are recruiting an NHS Fixed Term Locum Consultant for one of the largest University Teaching Hospitals in the NHS.
The role includes routine and emergency obstetrics, with on-call duties (non-resident on-call 1 in
8). Key responsibilities include providing consultant labour suite cover, elective caesarean sections, ward rounds, assessment unit cover, and antenatal clinics.
The department comprises 44 consultants: 18 obstetricians, 18 gynaecologists, and 8 combined obstetrician and gynaecologists. Our labour suite is associated with a level 3 Neonatal Unit, dedicated obstetric anaesthetic service, and inpatient and outpatient obstetric services. There is a 3-tier junior doctor 24-hour presence, a regional fetal medicine centre, and a dedicated maternity medicine service. The department has a strong research focus, participating in national and international clinical trials.

Our client is willing to issue Certificates of Sponsor ships to suitably qualified overseas doctors. GMC registration and MRCOG are essential for this position.
