Primary Teacher – KS1

Based in Leicester
Long‑Term Role with potential to become permanent

An outstanding primary school in Leicester is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS1 Primary Teacher to join its expert and supportive team on a long‑term basis, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young children.

You will work closely with a collaborative team of educators, with planning already prepared, allowing you to focus on high‑quality teaching and pupil development. All applicants will be required to hold or obtain an enhanced DBS check in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 1
  • Take on full teaching responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil progress
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Hours:

Monday to Friday (5 days per week). Start time: 8:15am. Finish:
End of the school day.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a mainstream primary setting
  • Experience teaching KS1 (KS2 experience desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • An engaging, enthusiastic, and nurturing practitioner
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
  • Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an advantage
