A Learning & Development professional with ability to create structured, engaging, and high-impact learning content? Skilled in coaching selling approaches, upselling, and cross-selling techniques? Previous experience of working within a large, fast-paced, and ever transforming business?
Are you commutable to our Leicester office and able and willing to attend site at least weekly, and our other UK offices from time to time as required?
Role Overview:
As a Learning & Development Consultant
, you will be responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions that enhance employee performance and capability, with a focus on core skills such as Customer Service and Sales, Change-readiness, Management Development, and Coaching and Communication
The role ensures learning aligns with business objectives and drives measurable improvements in service quality and effectiveness.
Mainly a remote role, the Learning & Development Consultant is required to spend at least one day per week at Simplify’s Head Office in Enderby, Leicester, with occasional travel to support learning delivery at any of our other UK sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Design & Development:
Create engaging learning programs using adult learning principles, tailored to frontline and sales roles. Incorporate adult learning principles, blended learning approaches and digital learning tools
Delivery & Facilitation:
Deliver interactive workshops and virtual sessions on topics such as:
- Customer experience excellence
- Sales techniques and objection handling
- Communication skills
- Change-readiness – for colleagues and managers
- Management skills training
- Other behavioural/core skills learning
- Providing Coaching as and when required to internal colleagues around topics such as career development, management approaches and performance improvement
- Review, redesign and delivery of Simplify’s groupwide New Joiner Inductions
- Support the People Development team in managing and increasing the Apprenticeship provision across Simplify
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
Measure training effectiveness and adjust programs for maximum impact by working with the People Team to install a robust evaluation framework
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with our People Partners and business leaders to align learning initiatives with business goals and performance targets by creating and enhancing strong business relationships with Stakeholders
Learning Technology:
Utilise Simplify’s LMS platforms to manage and track learning interventions and partner with our L&D Coordinator to design and deliver fit-for-purpose digital content required to support learning
What we need to see from you:
- Experience of working in an equivalent position within a large, multi-site, complex, and fast‑paced, private sector organisation
- Instructional Design: Ability to create structured, engaging learning content
- Facilitation
Skills:
Confident in delivering training to diverse audiences - Customer Service Expertise: Deep understanding of service standards and customer experience principles
- Sales Training Knowledge: Skilled in coaching selling approaches, upselling, and cross‑selling techniques
- Communication & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills to engage learners and stakeholders
- Management Development experience through the creation and delivery of high‑impact learning programmes
- Analytical
Skills:
Ability to assess impact and ROI - Adaptability: Comfortable working within a fast‑paced, ever‑changing culture
- Ability and willingness to travel to our Leicester office at least weekly, and other sites across the UK as and when required
