Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Do you have a love for literature and a knack for inspiring students through the power of language? GSL Education is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Leicester to recruit an enthusiastic English Teacher who can engage and motivate students to excel in their studies.

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in English language and literature to students aged 11-16. Your role will involve planning and teaching lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills, while fostering a deep appreciation for literature. You will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and work closely with colleagues to create a rich and supportive learning environment.

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English language and literature, aligned with the national curriculum.
• Inspire a love for reading and writing by using creative and innovative teaching approaches.
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
• Collaborate with the English department to enhance curriculum content and teaching methods.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field.
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level is highly desirable.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for staying current with educational best practices.
