Programme Lead Plumbing, Heating and Gas

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Programme Area Manager to plan and manage programmes effectively
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records on College systems
• Drive improvements in retention and achievement rates
• Develop and implement processes to support high‑quality learning experiences

• Background in Plumbing, Heating & Gas (BSE) with the ability to inspire and deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of subjects, including:
  • Domestic hot and cold water installations (including complex systems)
  • Domestic central heating installations (including complex systems)
  • Drainage and sanitation systems
  • Environmental and sustainable technologies
  • Core gas safety
• Broad understanding of the wider Construction sector (advantageous)
• Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Plumbing, Heating or Gas and/or significant industry experience in BSE
• Teaching qualification Level 5 or above (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed)
• Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Level 4 or above, or equivalent)

• Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning
• Experience in leading course provision and coordinating Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
• Strong organisational skills and ability to monitor performance using quality indicators
