Job Description

Clarence Recruitment are seeking an experienced and innovative Art Teacher for an immediate start at a largemixed comprehensive school in Leicester. This temporary position runs until the end of the academic year and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a thriving and well-resourced Arts department.
This role is ideal for an Art Teacher looking to gain immediate experience within a specialist Arts-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Plan, prepare, and assess engaging creative lessons

Support student progress and achievement

Contribute to extracurricular activities and exhibitions where appropriate

Maintain positive behaviour and classroom management in line with school policies

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas-trained equivalent

PGCE in Art or a degree-level qualification in a related subject

Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Recent experience teaching in a secondary school (within the last two years)

Passion for creative education and student engagement
