A well-established SEMH school in Wiltshire is seeking a dedicated Headteacher to lead a small, stable, and supportive team in continuing to deliver exceptional outcomes for its pupils.

About the SchoolCurrently supporting 18 pupils on roll, with a dedicated staff and nurturing approach to complex SEMH needs.
You’ll be joining a settled environment with a well-structured team that includes Deputy Heads, Teachers, HLTAs, TAs, and SEMH specialists. Staff turnover is extremely low, and vacancies are rare testament to the positive culture and collaborative ethos throughout the school.
The RoleAs Headteacher, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for a small, high‑performing SEMH school.
- Oversee a diverse and committed team delivering an adapted curriculum that meets the needs of each pupil.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic learning environment.
- Ensure continued progress against Ofsted standards, performance KPIs, and full school occupancy targets.
- Build strong relationships with staff, parents, and external partners to maintain and enhance the school’s excellent reputation.
You will bring:
- Proven experience working within SEMH or specialist education settings.
- A flexible, open‑minded approach to managing the complexities and behaviours associated with SEMH pupils.
- The ability to inspire, develop, and lead a multidisciplinary staff team.
- A solid understanding of how to balance academic and therapeutic priorities within a smaller, specialist school.
- Base salary up to £61,800, with potential bonuses up to £18,000 linked to performance indicators such as Ofsted outcomes and school occupancy.
- A settled, supportive staff team and a school that has recently achieved strong inspection outcomes.
