Level 3 Childcare Practitioner - Full Time (Primary)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and supportive primary school in Daventry who are looking for a Level 3 Childcare qualified member of staff to join their team on a full-time basis.

This role would suit someone who is confident working with young children and has a strong understanding of early language development and phonics.

You will be working closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary phase, with a particular focus on early reading, phonics and communication skills
. The role includes supporting learning in the classroom, delivering small group interventions and helping pupils build confidence in their speech, language and literacy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the delivery of Read Write Inc (phonics) sessions
• Assisting with speech and language interventions under the guidance of teaching staff and external professionals
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups
• Supporting children's communication, language and early literacy development
• Creating a positive, calm and engaging learning environment

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential)
• Have experience delivering or supporting Read Write Inc phonics
• Have experience supporting speech and language development
• Be patient, enthusiastic and confident working with young children
• Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and pupils

School-based experience is highly desirable, but the right attitude and commitment are just as important.
