Smart Education are working with a Primary Academy located in the heart of the Midlands, in the Weoley Castle area of Birmingham. This school is looking to appoint a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join them from as soon as possible for a role supporting a SEND pupil on a 1:1 basis that will run through to the end of the academic year 2026 initially.

The role will see the successful SEN TA taking on a 1:1 support role working with a key stage 1 pupil who has received a statement. The pupil's behaviour can be challenging due to his SEMH and Physical deregulation needs, though there is a hugely supportive staff team that works to provide the best possible environment and experience for these pupils.

The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced SEN TA with Key Stage 1/2 experience who is passionate about supporting and working with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, who are looking to overcome their challenges. This SEN Teaching Assistant role will see you taking on the role for the remainder of the academic year and potentially next academic year and beyond.
