The Trust Medical Education department is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join its teaching faculty, to deliver psychiatry teaching to medical students. This will enhance the existing Medical Education Faculty in the trust.
This is a Medical Bank position with flexibility to sign up to facilitate teaching sessions at your availability.

The post holder, in collaboration with the Trust Director of Undergraduate Medical Education, will take a lead role in delivering the in‑house teaching programme for undergraduate medical students undertaking Psychiatry placements within the Trust. This will include contributing to regular student induction days, coordinating fellow psychiatric trainees to teach students and organising and delivering clinical interview skills simulation training.
Responsibilities- Deliver psychiatry teaching to medical students.
- Contribute to regular student induction days.
- Coordinate fellow psychiatric trainees to teach students.
- Organise and deliver clinical interview skills simulation training.
- Respond to student feedback regarding the teaching programme to ensure an appropriate range and level of teaching topics is provided.
- Opportunities to audit aspects of undergraduate programmes.
- Develop educational insight and skills, contribute to a portfolio of work linked to a PGCert or support AoME membership.
- Deliver lecturing and small group work with medical undergraduates.
The post holder will have administrative and practical support from Medical Education Administrators and will be supported to attend faculty development days.
