Maths Teacher; Maternity Cover

Job Title: Mathematics Teacher (Secondary)
Location: Leicester
Salary: 189 - 239 per day (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Maternity Cover
Start Date: Summer Term

Clarence Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join a secondary school in Leicester for a 12-month maternity cover, starting in the summer term. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated practitioner to join a supportive and forward-thinking Mathematics department within a well-regarded secondary school.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across the secondary age range, supporting pupils to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop confidence in their mathematical skills. This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs/NQTs and overseas-trained teachers with relevant experience.

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Contribute to the development and success of the Mathematics department
• Support intervention, enrichment and wider school initiatives where appropriate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
