Teacher of History

Contract Length: 6 months
Pay: £150.00 - £250.00 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of History to join a secondary school in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to deliver engaging History lessons while supporting students' academic achievement and personal development in a positive, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum (KS3-KS4; KS5 desirable)
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and curiosity
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, attainment, and behaviour
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Contribute to departmental collaboration, curriculum development, and enrichment activities
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers and uphold school policies and safeguarding standards
Requirements
  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS preferred) or relevant educational degree
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge in History
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities
