Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year)

Long Term Futures are recruiting a confident, resilient and academically strong Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 and small group support within a specialist SEN school catering for pupils aged 2-19 years. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and present with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and associated behavioural challenges.

This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and keen to build a lasting career within education, pastoral care, educational psychology or therapy.

About the Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and pastoral support
Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement
Work closely with pastoral leads, SEN staff and teaching teams
Support pupils during lessons, interventions and unstructured times
Promote positive behaviour, resilience and inclusion across the school
Foster positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Implement tailored strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviour

Ideal Candidate Profile

Hands-on, proactive and energetic approach
Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
Proven experience supporting students with behavioural or pastoral needs
Experience managing challenging behaviour within SEMH or SEN settings
Patient, empathetic and committed to long-term impact
