JOB OVERVIEW

Uplands Infant School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Nursery team, working with our youngest learners. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for early childhood education to help give our children the very best start to their learning journey.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
  • Assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of the Early Years curriculum.
  • Providing personal care routines as appropriate for nursery aged children.
  • Observing and recording children’s progress to share with staff and parents.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Working effectively as part of the Nursery and wider school team.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • A relevant Early Years Level 2 childcare/teaching assistant qualification. (Must be an accepted qualification on the DfE Early Years Qualification list)
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
  • Previous childcare experience
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
  • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment
  • A can-do attitude
  • A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
  • Demonstrates patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach.
