Aspire People is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school from September.
This is a full-time position supporting a child with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference and is comfortable providing consistent, individualised support throughout the school day.
The Role Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs Supporting learning both inside and outside of the classroom
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCOEncouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour
Helping to implement personalised learning and support strategies
Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
We're Looking For Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
Experience working within a school setting is advantageous
A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Confidence and commitment to working on a 1:1 basis with a child who requires additional support
