Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting on a Temp-to-Perm basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in their educational journey.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have a range of complex and severe learning needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Support students with severe and complex needs, including:
    • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    • ADHD
    • Physical disabilities
    • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Assist with personal care duties where required, ensuring dignity, respect, and safeguarding are maintained at all times
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff to deliver personalised learning and care plans
  • Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all learners
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in education, care, or support settings
  • Knowledge or experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and/or PMLD
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Confidence supporting pupils with personal care requirements
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
