An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, ambitious and forward‑thinking leader to join our Business, Enterprise, Computer Science, Travel and Hospitality management team.
We are seeking a Programme Area Manager to lead our Business provision based at Abbey Park Campus. Our Business department offers programmes from Level 1 to Level 5, encompassing BTEC qualifications, T Levels and Higher Education provision. Business is well‑established with a team of dedicated, professional staff who are committed to delivering an outstanding student experience and excellent outcomes.
You will work closely with the Curriculum Directors and collaborate with other Programme Area Managers across Financial, Professional and Business Services. The ability to build strong relationships, work collaboratively and contribute to a cohesive cross‑campus approach will be essential.
You will have relevant sector experience and a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges currently facing Further Education, including curriculum reform, qualification developments and the growing importance of digital and AI‑enabled learning. Experience of leading or delivering both Further Education and Higher Education provision would be advantageous given the breadth of the curriculum offer.
You will be passionate about teaching, learning and student success, with a proven track record of leading quality improvement, managing performance effectively and driving high standards. We are looking for a creative, dynamic and inspirational leader who can motivate and empower staff, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and ensure learners achieve their full potential. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead change, deliver challenging targets and contribute positively to the wider strategic ambitions of the College.
- Degree (or equivalent) in a vocational area
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification (grade C or above or grade 4 or above) in maths and English
