Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate individuals to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in schools across Leicestershire.
We have both full-time and part-time positions available, offering rewarding opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You may be supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, working closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality support.
Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Support children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Implement individual learning and behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to support pupil progress.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs is essential.
- A strong understanding of a range of SEN needs and effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Ability to work school hours, Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
