The school is a well-regarded secondary school in Leicester, looking to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Religious Education for the new academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful Humanities faculty where Religious Education is valued as a key subject in helping students develop critical thinking, cultural awareness, and an understanding of diverse beliefs and worldviews.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging and challenging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Inspire students to explore religion, ethics, philosophy and contemporary moral issues
  • Encourage critical thinking, debate and respect for differing viewpoints
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Humanities curriculum
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school community
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level
  • Possesses strong knowledge of theology, philosophy, ethics and world religions
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Has the ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities
  • Maintains high expectations for student achievement and personal development
  • Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoys working collaboratively within a successful Humanities department
