Aspire People is currently recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Leicester from September.

Whether you’re looking for full‑time or part‑time work, we have opportunities to suit your availability, provided you can work school hours (8:30am‑3:30pm).

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role
  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Encourage pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
  • Help create a safe, positive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, teachers and parents.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each child.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a UK primary school or nursery (essential).
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
  • Availability to work school hours (8:30am‑3:30pm).
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
