Director of Creative and Performing Arts

As Director of Creative & Performing Arts, you will lead a significant curriculum portfolio spanning creative arts, performing arts, music, media, fashion, hair and beauty. You will drive a curriculum that is innovative, industry-informed and delivers outstanding outcomes for learners, employers and the communities we serve.

You will take ownership of performance across recruitment, retention, achievement and progression, while developing and empowering high-performing teams to deliver consistently strong provision. Leading quality improvement across the directorate, you will champion excellence in teaching, learning and assessment, using data, insight and collaboration to drive continuous improvement.

Working closely with employers, industry partners and key stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for innovation and growth, ensuring the curriculum remains current, relevant and responsive to future skills needs.

You will bring substantial experience of curriculum leadership within further education, education, training or a comparable sector, together with a proven track record of improving performance and leading teams through change. Experience with in vocational or industry-based settings would be advantageous but is not essential. With a recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level
5), you will be confident operating at a senior level and contributing to wider organisational priorities.
