Trainee Youth Theatre Assistant Leader

The Creative Learning department at Theatre Royal is committed to providing young people across Suffolk with the opportunity to learn from highly experienced Theatre Practitioners, watch performances from some of the leading children’s theatre companies internationally, get on stage and perform and build confidence in a familiar and friendly environment.

We are looking to recruit 2x Trainee Youth Theatre Assistant Leaders (16-18 years).

The Trainee Youth Theatre Assistant (16-18 years) position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in youth theatre delivery across a diverse programme of work.

The Trainee Youth Theatre Assistant will support Youth Theatre Leaders and Assistants in the running of the regular Youth Theatre sessions.

Interviews will take place 24 August 2026 at Theatre Royal.

Contract – Fixed Term

Salary – Trainee YT Assistant Leader – £8 per hour
