Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school in Narborough. The role involves providing tailored support to a child with special educational needs, helping them thrive academically and socially. You'll play a key part in ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to a child with SEN in the classroom.

Assist the class teacher in delivering individualized learning plans and strategies.

Help manage and promote positive behavior in the classroom.

Support the child in accessing the curriculum and ensure they are fully engaged.

Monitor and track the child's progress, working closely with the SENCO and other staff.

Foster a positive and nurturing environment for the child's emotional and social development.

Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members to ensure the child's needs are met.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children with special educational needs (ideally within a school environment).

A patient, understanding, and flexible approach to supporting children with additional needs.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with children, staff, and parents.

An understanding of child development and the specific needs of children with SEN.

A willingness to undergo relevant training to develop knowledge and skills further.

An enhanced DBS check (required before employment).
