Senior Nursery Practitioner / Room Leader – Oadby
Luma Education Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established and welcoming Early Years setting in Oadby with the appointment of an experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner / Room Leader.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Early Years professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility, lead a team and play an important role in creating a positive learning environment for young children.
The successful candidate will join a supportive nursery where professional development is encouraged, with opportunities to build on their leadership skills and potentially progress into areas such as SEND and inclusion.
About the Position
You will play a key role in ensuring your room operates effectively while delivering a high standard of care, education and development for all children.
Key responsibilities will include:
Taking a lead role in the day-to-day organisation of your room.
Supporting and guiding a team of Early Years Practitioners.
Creating stimulating activities based around children's interests and developmental needs.
Ensuring practice reflects the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Monitoring and recording children's progress and development.
Developing positive relationships with parents and carers.
Supporting children with differing needs and abilities.
Encouraging an inclusive, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Maintaining excellent safeguarding, health and safety standards.
Working collaboratively with the wider nursery leadership team.
Contributing to the continued improvement of the setting.
