Job Information:

Birkett House is a very popular and successful all age special school for pupils with learning difficulties. We are a multi-sited school in South Leicestershire and we are currently looking for Midday Supervisors. The main school site is in Wigston and we also have inclusion units at Thistly Meadow Primary School (Blaby), Little Hill Primary School (Wigston), Thomas Estley Community College (Broughton Astley) and a purpose built Senior Department based in Countesthorpe.

We currently require Midday Supervisor(s) to work at our Wigston site. Responsibilities include supervising pupils during their period of break, helping to run structured games/activities, supporting, and feeding pupils and assisting with their personal care requirements. The successful applicant will be joining a team of midday supervisors and will receive training and induction. This is an exciting opportunity to join an outward-looking school and to contribute to the development of special education in Leicestershire.

Contract type:
Term time only (38 weeks per year) any additional training days paid via timesheets.

Part time, Permanent

Hours:

7.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 11.45am to 1.15pmGrade:
Grade 5, Point 7 (£13.05 per hour)
Actual starting salary: £4,257 (pro rata of F.T.E. £25,191)

Applications will go through a two-stage process. Stage 1 - Shortlisted candidates will be expected to spend half a day in school with a class group (this visit is essential to the interview procedure). This will be your time to shine and show us your capabilities, experience and knowledge. It will also give you the chance to see what it is like working in our school and will give you the opportunity to ask any questions regarding the role.
