Geography Teacher — Academy

An Ofsted-rated Outstanding 11-18 academy in Leicester is seeking a full-time Geography Teacher to join its well-resourced Humanities faculty. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to work with well-motivated students in a school that expects and consistently achieves the very best outcomes.

The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 (AQA) contributing to a faculty known for its rigorous and creative approach to the subject. You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that develop students geographical skills including fieldwork data analysis and critical evaluation of sources and to contribute to the schools programme of residential fieldwork at KS4 and KS5.

The role also includes maintaining accurate assessment records contributing to whole-school eco-initiatives and supporting the Geography enrichment club.

Requirements

• Degree in Geography and QTS

• Strong subject knowledge across KS35

• Experience planning and leading residential or local fieldwork

• Good data analysis and GIS skills

• Enthusiasm for contributing to enrichment and whole-school sustainability initiatives
