Aspire People are looking for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident education professional who can support classroom learning, lead activities and make a meaningful contribution to pupils' progress.
The successful candidate will be comfortable taking initiative, working alongside teaching staff and providing high-quality support across the school.
The Role- Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Lead whole-class, small-group and intervention sessions when required
- Provide targeted support to pupils with different learning needs
- Help maintain a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with lesson preparation and the implementation of learning activities
- Support behaviour management and encourage positive pupil engagement
- Work with teachers to monitor pupil progress and identify areas for development
- Step in to cover lessons or classes when required, in line with your experience and school expectations
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA within a school setting
- Experience supporting pupils across primary education
- Confidence leading activities and working with groups of children
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A proactive, adaptable and supportive approach
- Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience would be beneficial
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Competitive daily rate of 105
- Monday to Friday, term time only
