Permanent, term time only

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, hard-working and flexible cleaner to join our team at Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School from September 2026. Experience of cleaning in a school or similar setting would be advantageous. Training and support will be provided.

In return for your hard work and dedication we will offer you:

  • A supportive environment and a dedicated team around you where talents are valued and nurtured.
  • High quality continuous professional development.
  • A fantastic community of children, teachers, governors, and parents.

Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School is a larger than average infant and nursery school and the only one of its kind in the local area. We are a Local Authority School and work closely as a positive and supportive staff team alongside our parents and community. An important element of our school is to use the outdoor environment at every opportunity, to enhance and enrich our curriculum.

We also believe that all children should become fluent, confident and enthusiastic readers whilst at our school. We are committed to developing the personal and social skills of all our children and offer therapeutic interventions to those who need them. These three 'golden threads' of reading, outdoor learning and personal development are woven through our planning and practice at every opportunity.

We have an exciting and forward-thinking approach to behaviour in school and all staff effectively use our relational behaviour policy, which makes a very happy and calm environment to learn and work.

Visits to our school site, or informal discussions are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Colin Gillingham, Site Manager on or email ad to arrange an appointment.

Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and the welfare of children and expects all staff to share in this. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, online checks, completion of a probationary period, pre-employment and Disclosure Barring Service checks. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.

The closing date for this vacancy is Friday 9 October 2026 at 12 noon. Any applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.
