Primary School Teaching Assistant – DE

Connex Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Alvaston, Sinfin, Allenton and the wider DE24 area
.

With the October half term approaching, we are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are available to work from November onwards
, supporting local primary schools throughout the remainder of the autumn term and beyond.

Whether you are looking for five days a week, a few regular days, or flexible supply work around other commitments
, we would like to hear from you.

Opportunities are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
, including day-to-day cover, short-term assignments and longer-term placements.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and school staff to help pupils get the most from their school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.
• Supporting positive behaviour within the classroom.
• Working with pupils who may require additional learning or behavioural support.
• Helping create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

• £450-£500 per week
  , depending on experience and assignment.
• Weekly PAYE pay.

• Work across a range of local primary schools.
• Free accredited CPD and training.
• Ongoing support from your local Connex Education team.

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have:

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting
  .
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Confidence supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Good communication skills and a patient, professional approach.
• A reliable and flexible attitude.
• The ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and school environments.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

You must have the right to work in the UK to apply.
