You will be teaching History across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE classes, as part of a supportive Humanities department. The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver interesting, well-structured lessons while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement.

* Bring historical events, people and periods to life through creative and thought-provoking teaching

* Encourage students to develop strong skills in historical enquiry, source analysis, interpretation and evaluation

* Develop students' confidence in extended writing and examination technique

* Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles

* Monitor progress and use assessment effectively to identify areas for development

* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement

* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the History and Humanities department

* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

* The ability to plan engaging and appropriately challenging lessons
