Senior Electrical Engineer - MEP

Leicester Salary: £50000.00 - £60000 per annum Our client based in Leicester is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage the Electrical team and manage multiple projects. You would report directly to report to the Associate Director or Project/Business Director.

Job Description of the Senior Electrical Engineer:
Act as a Project Lead on selected projects, including responsibility for financial control, resource management, project coordination, administration, and client liaison. Lead the Electrical discipline on project teams, overseeing electrical design, quality, performance, work processes, and team resourcing. Manage selected client accounts and support business development activities to expand and retain project opportunities. Carry out load assessments, lighting and small power layouts, cable sizing, protection studies, and coordination of electrical infrastructure Collaborate with mechanical engineers and ensure holistic design compliance with the project brief.

Ensure all QA procedures and design standards are consistently followed. Participate in the internal design verification process and be responsible for reviewing and signing off work by junior/intermediate engineers. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding and responding to both current and future needs. Requirements of the Senior Electrical Engineer:
Fully conversant with current building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, British Standards, IET wiring regulations (BS 7671), and other relevant electrical engineering codes and standards. Competent in using industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and Microsoft Office suite. Chartered or working towards chartered status with a professional body such as CIBSE or IET. Minimum of 67 years' experience in the electrical engineering field, with comprehensive exposure to design, construction, and project delivery within the building services industry.
