Job Overview
At WSP, you will join our expanding Building Structures team as a Senior Structural Engineer, responsible for the project management and technical delivery of schemes from inception through handover.
Responsibilities- Develop innovative and sustainable designs for a wide range of challenging projects, from major transportation hubs to airports and universities.
- Lead multidisciplinary design projects from concept to detailed design, coordinating with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants.
- Contribute to WSP’s success by delivering a growing order book of high‑profile multi‑disciplinary developments.
You will be part of a diverse and talented team located in Southampton and Basingstoke, with opportunities to collaborate across WSP disciplines.
Qualifications- Chartered Engineer status (MIStruct
E / AIStruct
E / MICE) or relevant equivalent experience. - Sound knowledge of structural engineering principles, analytical techniques, and Eurocodes.
- Excellent communication skills and experience producing clear engineering deliverables.
- Experience in low‑carbon design, embodied carbon assessment, and project deliverable quality assurance.
