An opportunity has arisen to join a thriving UK renewable energy company at a pivotal moment in its growth. This Environment Manager role is a 12–14‑month fixed‑term contract, offering the chance to step into a well‑established portfolio of onshore wind and energy park projects with real delivery momentum.
This is a senior, hands‑on role at the heart of the development team, ideal for someone who enjoys influencing project outcomes, shaping environmental strategy, and working collaboratively across disciplines.
The RoleYou will lead environmental and biodiversity input across a portfolio of renewable energy developments, supporting projects from early‑stage appraisal through planning and consent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading environmental strategy to maximise project consentability
- Providing expert input into site design, planning and EIA processes
- Managing environmental statements, technical assessments and consultant teams
- Identifying and delivering biodiversity net gain, habitat and mitigation strategies
- Advising on environmental risk, policy compliance and best practice
- Engaging with statutory bodies, stakeholders and internal project teams
You will bring:
- Strong experience in environmental management within renewable energy development
- Deep understanding of UK planning, consenting and EIA processes
- Confidence managing consultants and influencing multidisciplinary teams
- A pragmatic, delivery‑focused approach balanced with environmental best practice
