Senior Test Engineer

Electrical testing of control panels, components and associated control equipment. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Testing control equipment and completing associated documentation.
- Preparation and wiring of control panels for testing in accordance with Process Specification.
- Completing and maintaining Test Record sheets.
- Ensuring all test equipment is calibrated.
- Liaising with internal/external stakeholders, including customers witnessing tests.
- Assuring compliance of components with drawings, design specifications, mechanical and/or electrical test acceptance criteria through analysis.
- Raising non-conformance records for all non-compliant components including sign‑off where required.
- Electrical fault finding/investigations as required by design or production.
- Training and supporting Apprentices, Test Engineers and other team members.
- Supporting creation of risk assessments and safe‑working procedures.
- Supporting purchase of new or replacement equipment.
- Verifying control equipment and associated instruments including loading of "settings Files" for programmable instruments, relays and meters.
- Setting and conducting simulating synchronising supplies on control panels.
- Checking functionality of systems against circuit diagrams.
- Assisting in training of Aftermarket Service Engineers where required.
To be successful, you will:
- Hold HNC/ Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Have experience working with control panels, including wiring, fault finding & functionality testing.
- Be able to carry out insulation resistance, dielectric & earth bond testing per IEC
61439. - Know and work with AC/DC power supplies, secondary injection kits & IEDs.
- Understand and follow complex electrical schematic diagrams.
- Confidently follow test procedures internally and in front of customers.
- Be able to work safely in an LV environment.
