Responsibilities
* Having the autonomy of managing your own geographical area
* Carrying out appraisals of Building Control applications to check for compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
* Carrying out site inspections on all projects in your area, working with clients, designers and contractors.

Essential qualifications/skills

Essential qualifications/skills  You must be a Registered Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator. To be considered for this role, you should be a minimum of Class 2A registration status.

Desirable qualifications/skills

Desirable qualifications/skills  Have experience in Building Control, with the ability of applying the relevant requirements and taking any necessary action.  Have a degree level qualification or chartered status with either CABE, RICS or CIOB.Apply now on the Somerset Council Website
