They’ve built a strong reputation for solving complex engineering challenges and, due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, are now looking to bring in a Control Systems Electrical Engineer to their team.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide range of bespoke automation projects in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
The RoleYou’ll play a key part in delivering control systems for machinery projects from concept through to commissioning. This includes:

- Ensuring compliance with machinery directives and safety standards (CE marking)
- Component selection and procurement
- Overseeing electrical build and supporting technicians
- Fault finding, testing, installation and commissioning
- Supporting customers on-site (UK travel, occasional international)
- Contributing to continuous improvement and standardisation of control systems
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar
- Experience in control systems engineering within automation machinery
- Strong electrical design capability, including safety systems
- Proficiency with ePlan (essential)
- Understanding of machine safety standards and risk assessment
- Exposure to PLC programming (Siemens, Omron, Rockwell, B&R etc.) is advantageous
- Robotics experience (e.g. SCARA, Delta, 6-axis) would be beneficial
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong communication skills
- Stable and growing business with a strong project pipeline
- Employee Ownership Trust structure
- Varied, technically challenging projects across multiple industries
- Opportunity to see full project lifecycle through
- Supportive, multi-disciplinary engineering team
