Their diverse portfolio includes universities, hospitals, major retail fit-outs, and industrial facilities.
They cover everything from core electrical installations to fire alarms, emergency lighting, BMS controls, and structured cabling. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team.
The Role
Working closely with the estimating team and the Managing Director, you will play a key role in pricing, tendering, and securing profitable new business. This is a brilliant opportunity for an estimator looking for technical variety and long-term career progression within a stable, reputable contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate, competitive electrical estimates and tender submissions.
- Reviewing detailed drawings, specifications, and client project requirements.
- Calculating precise material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
- Liaising directly with suppliers, clients, design engineers, and internal project teams.
- Monitoring project cost-controls and supporting the wider management team throughout the tender process.
- Experience: A proven track record working within an electrical installation and estimating environment.
- Qualifications: City & Guilds 2361 (or equivalent trade apprenticeship). A City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection) qualification is highly advantageous.
- Skills: Strong numerical and IT skills, with excellent attention to detail and cost-control awareness.
- Attributes: A self-motivated professional who works well under pressure, meets tight tender deadlines, and fits into a team-oriented environment.
- Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential.
- The stability of a well-respected, growing business with a 15+ year track record.
- Exposure to high-profile, diverse projects across multiple sectors (Healthcare, Education, Industrial, Retail).
- A collaborative, supportive office culture with a direct line to senior management.
- Genuine opportunities for professional development and career growth.
