We are looking for a Project Manager responsible for leading multiple medium size projects at our Leicester, UK site.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Project Manager is responsible for managing jobs awarded to the company, providing support and tasking direction to engineering, sourcing and sub‑contractors to ensure deliveries to the customer within the allocated schedule, budget and customer satisfaction. Core duties include subcontract scope work allocation, progress tracking and application for payment management, engineering coordination and task management, and project planning for assigned activities.
The Project Manager also manages the assigned technical workforce and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Accountable for executing project orders, ensuring performance improvement on customer satisfaction, cycle time improvement, safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost while minimizing working capital requirements without compromising deliverable compliance to customer specifications.
- Promote total project ownership culture from sales handover to completion and promote teamwork and lead assigned cross‑functional teams.
- Prepare and own project plans including resource planning and monitoring, track budgets, documentation compliance and deliver projects on schedule and on allocated cost budgets.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement of project planning and execution processes, aligning to business directives and target goals.
- Supervise sub‑contract labor (office) and services.
- Assist as necessary for off‑site activities such as handover/kick‑off meetings, inspection, installation, commissioning and servicing with clients and suppliers.
- Engage daily with customers, project team members, sales and marketing, project operations, factories and management to ensure excellence in delivery and overall project performance.
- Adapt lessons learned from other projects and best practices of custody metering skid fabrication business.
- Establish safe work practices, continuously improve the site safety culture and meet or exceed all Health, Safety and Environment key performance metrics; adhere to QMS and collaborate with Quality Manager on deliverable quality.
- Lead progressive project review meetings with clients, sharing customer requirements and expectations on project deliverables.
- Support the proposal team during bid preparation.
Skills & Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the process control industry.
- Deep knowledge of flow measurement and regulating gases.
- Preferably conversant with UK codes and standards for the gas industry.
- Successful leadership experience.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and arrive at sound solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
