Engineering Sub Agent, Civil Engineering

A leading multi-million-pound civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Engineer to join the delivery team on a flagship infrastructure project in the East Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile scheme, working alongside an experienced project team to deliver complex civil engineering works to the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage engineering activities across multiple work fronts.
- Oversee the construction and delivery of reinforced concrete (RC) structures.
- Manage setting out, quality assurance, and technical compliance.
- Supervise the installation of drainage networks, ducting, and buried pipework.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design information.
- Prepare and review RAMS, ITPs, permits, and associated engineering documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Liaise with the client, designers, and commercial teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure accurate records, as-built information, and quality documentation are maintained.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong background delivering RC structures, drainage, ducting, and pipework packages.
- Excellent knowledge of setting out, quality control, and engineering best practice.
- Experience managing engineers and coordinating subcontractors on site.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and resolve engineering challenges proactively.
- CSCS card (essential).
- SMSTS preferred.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
