The Graduate Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and Contract Manager, as well as key clients, to support the full lifecycle of engineering projects — from initial planning through to delivery and handover. This role provides excellent exposure to project delivery, health & safety management, procurement processes, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety through supervision, inspections and monitoring
- Conduct site inspections and prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Liaise with procurement teams to source materials, parts and subcontract labour
- Support the Project Manager in the coordination and delivery of project work
- Obtain permits to work as required for project activities
- Prepare project handover documentation and reports for clients
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Provide support across the wider department to assist with business growth
- Some exposure to on-site engineering projects (water industry experience desirable but not essential)
- Engineering qualification – HND minimum (Mechanical preferred)
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with colleagues
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Right to work in the UK on a permanent basis
