Cost Estimator in Aylestone

We are a Leicester‑based engineering company with over 50 years of experience fabricating bespoke systems for manufacturing. We are seeking a Cost Estimator to support our external sales engineer by producing proposals for customer enquiries.

Leicester – £30,000 – 35,000 per annum.

• Produce proposals for systems ranging from £5,000 to £500,000.
• Size equipment needed for the project (filters, fans, motors).
• Calculate proposed costing for the equipment.
• Work out ducting runs required for the system and associated costs.
• Prepare final written proposals detailing equipment and costs.
• Ensure proposals are delivered within 72 hours of receiving enquiry.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders from shop floor to Managing Director level.
• Support the external sales engineer across multiple proposals at tight deadlines.

• Experience in preparing written proposals.
• Strong commercial sense and ability to cost equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Team player who can fit into a close‑knit team.
• Local to the Leicester area (office based).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
