Logistics Engineering Manager

Linum Consult's client is a world-leading Tier 1 international contractor delivering, maintaining and operating some of the world's largest infrastructure and energy projects. Their portfolio includes major road, rail, hydroelectric, nuclear and renewable energy developments worldwide.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Logistics Engineering Manager to join their Logistics & Sustainability team, supporting one of Europe's most significant infrastructure programmes in Southeast England.

This is a unique opportunity to combine engineering, construction and logistics on a landmark infrastructure project. As the Logistics Engineering Manager, you will become the logistics subject matter expert responsible for analysing, modelling and optimising site-wide logistics flows across a complex live construction environment. Working closely with construction, planning and logistics teams, your work will directly influence site efficiency, productivity and operational performance.

Full training will be provided in Siemens Plant Simulation, making this an excellent opportunity for engineers and construction professionals looking to expand their expertise into digital logistics modelling.

• Lead logistics flow analysis and simulation studies across major construction operations.
• Analyse and optimise the movement of materials, personnel, plant, traffic, storage areas and site facilities.
• Develop Value Stream Mapping (VSM) models to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Improve logistics performance, construction sequencing, site efficiency and traffic management strategies.
• Manage and mentor a small team of junior logistics engineers.
• Work closely with construction, methods, planning and logistics teams to develop practical, data-driven solutions.
• Develop expertise in Siemens Plant Simulation software through structured training and ongoing development.

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 10+ years' experience within construction methods, engineering, logistics or major project site operations.
• Strong understanding of complex construction logistics, operational planning and site coordination.
• Exposure to Lean Management principles, logistics planning, traffic management, flow optimisation or operational improvement.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Motivated to develop expertise in digital engineering and logistics simulation technologies.

• UK or France during the first year, before relocating to the project site in Southeast England.
