£55,000 - £60,000 + In-House Training + Career Progression + Annual Discretional Bonus + Site Travel
We are a small, highly successful Automation business renowned for technical expertise. We are looking for a Controls Engineer who can write and program PLCs from scratch to join our specialist team.
Role Overview- Work with PLCs (Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley), HMIs, drivers and robots.
- Write, test and program PLCs from scratch for a variety of Automation systems.
- Participate in early stages of projects: input to tenders, write functional design specifications, software build, in‑house testing, on‑site commissioning, handover and go‑live support.
- Involve throughout full lifetime of Automation projects with a mixture of office and site‑based work.
- Design, build, and deliver Automation projects across warehouse, airport, automotive, and aggregate sectors.
- Be the technical go‑to for customer issues.
- Support career progression into senior positions.
- Controls Engineer or similar background.
- Ability to write and program PLCs from scratch.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives and robots.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and team skills.
- Competitive salary (£55k‑£60k).

- Site travel within the UK.
