Quality Engineer

My client is a very well-established business who specialize in the fabrication, coating, and assembly of specialist products for a variety of high-tech industries.
They are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to lead problem solving within all manufacturing areas to improve yields & reduce poor quality
Main Duties
 
* Manage both internal and external quality issues with suppliers, production teams and customers.
 
* Manage and lead daily reject reviews to help drive problem containment and correction.
 
* Follow the Advanced Product Quality Planning framework to help coordinate the manufacturing launch of new and revised products
 
* Training of team members in inspection techniques and methods and evaluating results
 
* Assess and manage risks using the failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) framework
 
* Promote and produce templates for problem solving opportunities with the workforce
 
* Lead and participate in CI projects
Requirements
 
* Thorough understanding of New Product Introduction processes and other Quality tools such as APQP, FMEA and 8D
 
* Understanding of ISO
9001
 
* Competent in Project Management and Lean techniques
 
* Ideally with a Degree in a relevant subject such as engineering or manufacturing
