Purpose & Scope of the Role

Join Tetra Tech's busy highways, bridges and infrastructure design team and contribute to a wide range of civil and structural engineering projects. You'll support work across major highways schemes and smaller junction improvements for Government bodies and private developers, delivering for both public and private sector clients.

Your Impact in this position

From day one, you'll help progress projects by undertaking design work, supporting design reviews and verification checks, assisting with contract administration, and providing technical support to the Civil/Structural Engineering team. You'll also liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders to help keep delivery on track.

  • Highways, Bridges & Infrastructure Design
    - Contribute to the design of a varied portfolio of highways, bridge and infrastructure projects.
  • Design Reviews & Verification Checks
    - Support technical reviews and checking activities to help ensure quality and compliance.
  • Project Delivery Support
    - Assist in the delivery of major highway projects, bridges and utilities, working closely with senior colleagues.
  • Contract Administration
    - Help manage project administration to support smooth and professional delivery.
  • Technical Collaboration
    - Provide technical assistance across the team and build strong working relationships with clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders.
Training, Qualifications and Experience

A minimum 2:1 degree in Civil Engineering (MEng, BEng or BSc) is required, along with previous technical or industry experience, MS Office skills and experience using civil engineering design software including AutoCAD. You should be self-motivated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be committed to achieving professional qualifications and chartered status. Suitability for security clearance is required.

Working Environment

Based in Leicester, Manchester or Bristol, with hybrid working supported in line with team and project needs. As a graduate role, you'll be expected to spend more time in the office initially to support learning and development.
