The Role Lead and motivate a shift engineering team in a heavy industrial environment. Support plant reliability through effective reactive and planned maintenance. Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding on automated production machinery. Work with PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, sensors, hydraulics and pneumatics. Coordinate engineering activities to maximise plant uptime and production performance. Drive health & safety standards and ensure compliance with site procedures.
Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability projects. Ensure maintenance reports and records are completed accurately. Requirements Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship. Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification. Previous experience as a Maintenance Team Leader, Engineering Team Leader, Lead Engineer, Engineering Supervisor or Senior Maintenance Engineer. Strong electrical fault-finding experience within manufacturing. Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment. Experience leading engineers within a fast-paced production environment.
Strong understanding of motors, drives, sensors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
